Volunteering With Chance to Choose

Would you like to make a difference, meet new people and be part of a friendly and welcoming art group?

Chance to Choose is always happy to hear from people who may be interested in volunteering with us. Our group supports people with learning disabilities, learning differences and autism to enjoy art, be creative, build confidence and spend time with other people in a safe and welcoming environment.

There are lots of different ways volunteers can help at Chance to Choose. You do not need to be an artist or have lots of experience. Volunteers can help us set up before the group starts, welcome members when they arrive, help members with art and creative activities, make tea and coffee, talk to members and help everyone feel included, help at exhibitions and special events, support the group with other tasks when needed and help us tidy up at the end of the session.

We are looking for friendly, patient and reliable people who enjoy helping others. It is important that our volunteers treat everyone with kindness, dignity and respect. Our members may have different support needs, so volunteers should be willing to listen, learn and help people in a way that works for them.

We also expect everyone involved with Chance to Choose to follow our group rules and help us maintain a safe, respectful and welcoming environment for everyone.

Chance to Choose meets every Friday from 2:00pm until 4:00pm in Sheffield. Volunteers may sometimes be asked to arrive a little earlier to help set up or stay for a short time afterwards to help tidy away.
